Who said that bullet proof jacket has to look like an over sized vest? A bullet proof jacket (that’s right a jacket) by Colombian tailor Miguel Caballero is bringing fashion into military products. This new jacket by Caballero in Bogota, Columbia can protect you and making you look good at the same time.
With the increased threat on terror on global figures, they can’t always be expected to wear traditional thick bullet proof vest everywhere they have meeting. Caballero’s product focuses exactly on that niche. Word is that even president Obama wore some of his clothing during the inauguration.
Richard Branson, a Virgin mogul is now venturing toward the deep ocean.
the newly launching Virgin Oceanic features a submarine that looks a lot like a plane which uses downward force of the wings to dive down to nearly 100 feet.
The featured sub has three seats, one for pilot and two for visitors, and the riders are able to view 360 degrees around their surroundings.
Price for the ride? Cool $25,000 a week.
Sweet, sign me up.
Today, 1/27 at 10AM PST, Apple released the new iPad in all it’s glory.
Personally, I was very excited about the product initially, but after all was said and done, it gave me the impression that it was just an iPod touch on steroid. But that’s just what I think.
For those that missed the Apple event, the official video is here.
First of all, it is not currently available for purchase. It will be in about 30 days for U.S. customers and 60 days for international customers though.

Apple iPad does deliver to those who need simple tasks done better.
Think about it, medical applications and patient’s file charts at the tip of the hands of the doctors instead of lugging around cumbersome paper based products.
Instant bed-time stories by mothers with subtle music to allow kids to fall asleep.
Sure, it doesn’t deliver to mobile professionals that need the computing power to do excel, power point (although there are applications for these), and document editing, it can be quite useful for students that only need web browsing power and occasional note-taking abilities.
But at the spec of mere 1024 x 768 pixels of screen, you sure cannot do various tasks such as image editing or audio editing. But we suppose that we will have laptops for these tasks.
All in all, it is a remarkable device centered somewhere between iPhone and Macbook and will be exactly that and no more.
Well, by now we all know from many sources (Engadget, Gizmodo, Macrumors), that the new Apple tablet device is coming.
To add onto that confirmation, CNN now reports that there has been 50 tablets detected on Apple Campus (which is in Cupertino, CA).
But traces of the devices’ existence stick to the apps their users test. Based on the data it has gathered, Flurry on Sunday issued, with “a fair level of confidence,” these findings:
Testing of the devices, first spotted in early October, increased dramatically in January
They are running a special version of the iPhone operating system labeled OS 3.2 (iPhones currently use OS 3.12), not a version of Mac OS X
Testers have run approximately 200 different pieces of software on the device
Games are the No. 1 category of software being tested, suggesting that the tablet is intended more for play than for work
There was no evidences of the kind of industrial apps run on most current tablet computers
There was a strong trend toward news, books and streaming music and radio, leading Flurry to speculate that the new Apple tablet will “focus heavily on daily media consumption”
Across all applications detected, there was a “strong theme of sharing and/or social interaction including social games, social networking, photo sharing and utilities like file transfer applications”
Good news for developers: “from the testing we observed,” writes Flurry, “it appears that Apple wants to leverage the 130,000+ applications already available in the App Store on day one”
